  • How long is each workshop?
All workshops can be tailored to your needs and can be offered as shorter (less depth) sessions if required however we recommend the following: Staff and Child Wellbeing Teacher Training Sessions - 3 hours (can be split into 2 x 1.5 hour sessions) Language and Behaviour training - 1.5 hours Mental Health Lead Support - schedule to be agreed with the school Mindfulness for Educators - 8 x 45 minute sessions over 8 weeks The Expression Room development will take place over an agreed period of time - this will be decided following your free initial consultation. Kids Storytelling Yoga EYFS - 30 mins KS1 - 40 mins KS2 - 1 hour including a follow up activity
  • Can I book 1 children's workshop rather than the set?
Absolutely! We advise you cover all topics and book the set but if you feel you have some of the areas covered we would be happy to come in and deliver the requested workshops only.
  • Which workshops are best suited for the Early Years Foundation Stage?
All workshops (except the Sleep workshop) have a specifically tailored version for the EYFS using puppets, song and movement and are slightly shorter - 40 mins The Kids Storytelling Yoga is perfect for the EYFS also!
  • What is the focus of the Staff Wellbeing Workshop?
The Staff Wellbeing Workshop is focused on the wellbeing of the educators but will undoubtedly have a positive effect on the children. The workshop will explore managing workload, working with colleagues, food and exercise, sleep and mindfulness practice.
  • Can you split the 3 hour Staff Wellbeing Workshop over a number of sessions?
We recommend that you have the Staff Wellbeing Workshop on an INSET day so that you can experience the full three hours in one go. However, if you just can't fit it in we would be happy to tailor it over two sessions for you.
  • What if I need a Wellbeing Workshop that I can't see on your list?
We can design workshops to address specific needs. Please make a booking enquiry and outline what you are looking for and we would love to help.
  • How do I make a booking?
Please make a booking enquiry via the button above. Please share as much information as you are able (e.g. the workshops you are interested in and the dates you would like them to run) and we will respond within 1 working day.
  • What kind of space is required for the workshops?
The more space the better, so a hall would be great, however all workshops can take place in a classroom if required. A smart board is required for the workshop presentation slides and in some of the sessions tables and chairs will also be required. Specifics will be communicated to you in your booking emails.
  • Is the Class Teacher required to stay in the classroom?
Due to the sensitive nature of mental health and wellbeing we advise that one adult (Teacher or TA), who knows the children well, to stay and join in with the workshop. It is also beneficial for the teachers to have seen what the children have experienced in the workshops. However if this is not possible our workshop leaders are DBS checked so are able to look after a class of children independently. PPA cover workshops can be arranged, please specify this in your email.
  • How many people can you work with in a workshop/training session?
Staff Training - we can work with any number of staff - this can be agreed during our consultation and emails. Key Stages 1 and 2 - we can work with a maximum of 30 children per workshop. Early Years - we can work with 26 children if another Teacher/TA/NN is present in the space. We will work with a maximum of 30 children but will require 2 other adults for this number of 3-4 year olds.
  • Do you offer regular PPA wellbeing cover?
Yes, we do cover teacher PPA time with a set of planned wellbeing workshops. Just specify this request in your booking enquiry and we will be in touch within 1 working day.
  • Are you able to come and work in the school over a whole term?
Yes - we could either provide a range of workshops throughout a term or could design a tailored wellbeing journey. Please make a booking enquiry and we'll be in touch.
  • How do I pay for the workshops?
Your school will be sent an invoice on the day of your first workshop and you will be required to pay the full amount within 14 days. Please see our terms and conditions for more information on payment.
  • Can I get a refund or exchange on workshops I have booked?
Please see our terms and conditions for full details on booking cancellations and amendments.
  • Do you offer any additional services?
Yes, if you require any assistance in an area that you feel fits into Mental Health and Wellbeing we would be happy to help. Examples include - helping to write your school Wellbeing Policy, training teachers on INSET days, assisting Mental Health and Wellbeing Leads and exploring and developing class or whole school planning. Please get in touch by emailing sophie@mindfulnessforlearning.com or via the booking enquiry button above.
  • Are your Workshop Leaders checked by the Disclosure and Barring Service?
Yes our workshop leaders are DBS checked. When you make a booking you will be asked if you would like the DBS certificate emailed over and/or presented at the office upon arrival and leaders will also bring proof of identity with them.
  • Can you help us develop our PSED and PSHE curriculum?
Absolutely! We will help you to reflect upon the curriculum you already have, we will write a report up following that exploration and make recommendations for ways in which you could develop it further.
